You squint to make sense of the text:

“The work attends to the ways language and signs perpetuate cultural shapings of attention”

You pause for a moment, then continue:

“Formed using interactive technologies, such as virtual reality, game development software, HTML and mobile applications, the pieces functionally negotiate meaning through the choices chosen by the audience”

You settle here on the word ‘choices’. You question if navigating an artwork by a button or two is really a choice. The word doesn’t mean much. Or maybe it means too much. You can’t decide and now you realise you’re distracted.

You read the final sentence:

“…the artist considers the bizarre and tacit ways linguistic structures naturalise complicated and arbitrary metaphors as self-evidential truths”
