My practice is an ongoing enquiry into the nature of identity and the self. I work across sculpture, installation, script and music.
Three Three-Act Plays forms an excerpt from recent work, featuring bronze pieces, and video works as mise en scène amid sculptural installation. The exhibition incorporates video of a series of 20 performative one-act plays written in response to the research enquiry. The work elaborates on definitions of the ‘backstage’, the ‘prop’, and the ‘rehearsal’, as a way to explore a space of intersubjectivity and to subjectivise audience/viewer relations.
