VCA ART 2021

Danica Karaičić

PhD

In my creative practice, I investigate spatial situations created by artworks that test the optical and experiential relationship between the three ‘skins’: body, clothes and architecture. In my experiments with these three skins, I create participatory installations and performances that focus on the dressed, sensing body in movement. Through engagement with my artworks, visitors also participate in the (re)making of the artwork and the architectural space. I use the bodies and clothes as architectural elements, and observe and analyse processes of space-making, experience-making, wearing space and sharing space.
