Bachelor of Fine Arts (Photography)

Elena’s photographic works explore metaphorical terrain between the unconscious mind and the natural world, conflating psychological states with geological phenomena. In these interior universes, landforms multiply, liquify, disperse and disappear.

Artworks are staged using analogue photography, projection, and the colour darkroom. Like memories, the works are illusory and inexact, driving an impulse to continually reframe, reassemble, and transpose images into more images.
