I am interested in zones of cross-contamination, the intersection of inner and outer, arbitrary and controlled, thinking and feeling, reality and fiction.
In my recent experiences of slow solitude, the logic of dualism has started to erode. Through repetition, things gradually begin to appear as other than I know them.
Physical automation allows my mind to stray, as well-worn neighbourhood routes deviate into illusory realms where vegetal stains on cement reveal portals, sun rays appear as spasming gestures on my inner eyelids and spiders send message requests through dreams. Yet it tends to feel just like any other day, and I have spent hours here; eventually, the idea is to leave.
